Vinyl Installation
Vinyl installation is simpler than hardwood, laminate, carpet, or tile installation. In fact, many DIYers opt to do the project themselves. However, we still recommend trusting professionals, as they can ensure success and efficiency throughout the entire installation process.
To prepare, you must first empty the room of furniture and any valuables. You may need to remove baseboards and moulding in advance, which is something we can discuss with you. You might also need an underlayment, which is another detail we'll discuss beforehand. Your subfloor will need to be completely clean, flat, and smooth.
During and after installation
Once your subfloor is ready, we'll get to work on installing your vinyl. You'll need to have someone who is at least 18 years old home to greet the installation team and show them to the work area. Be sure to keep children and pets away from the work area until the job is finished!
After your installation is finished, you'll want to establish proper ventilation, especially if you're sensitive to the smell of chemicals. From there, it's up to you to care for and maintain your vinyl. Be sure to see our vinyl care and maintenance page for more information.
